The JUNO Awards is produced by Insight Productions’ Chairman/CEO/Executive Producer John Brunton and Executive Producer/Showrunner Lindsay Cox. Most recently, John Brunton and now-retired President/COO, Barbara Bowbly, were both appointed the Order of Canada for their outstanding contributions to the Canadian broadcasting industry.

2019 kicks off Brunton’s 25th year producing The JUNO Awards, while Executive Producer/Showrunner Lindsay Cox celebrates her 18th JUNOS.  They are once again working with their talented team of Producers and Designers to bring the year's incredible music to an audience of millions. Celebrating 40 years of innovation and unparalleled quality of content, Insight values and strives to maintain close relationships with all Artists, advocating and creating for them, making Insight the premiere producer of music shows in Canada. Due to these close-knit relationships, Artists embrace the chance to work along side Insight to tell their story in a new light. Insight’s most recent foray into documentary, “If You Could Read My Mind”, showcases and celebrates Gordon Lightfoot, one of Canada’s most beloved and treasured Artists. The film is currently slated to be released later this year.

Along with our partners at CARAS and CBC, John and Lindsay work closely with incedible talent behind the scenes to create bespoke performances for our JUNO audience. Our beautiful performances are crafted by Production, Lighting and Video Designer Alex Nadon, Director Dave Russell, Senior Producer Pam DeMontmorency, Senior Producer/Line Producer Tracy Galvin, Technical Producer Neil Staite, and our Audio Supervisor Mark Vreeken.

Insight has been instrumental in the growth of The JUNO Awards, bringing Canadian talent and musical artistry into larger arenas—literally and figuratively. We are thrilled to be part of such a remarkable Canadian legacy.
